Description
Life Extension Potassium Iodide Tablets contain 130 mg of potassium iodide (about 100 mg iodine) per scored tablet. This is not a daily supplement: potassium iodide is used only in a nuclear/radiation emergency, when public health authorities instruct people to take it, to saturate the thyroid with stable iodine.

Ingredients
Per tablet: potassium iodide 130 mg (approx. 100 mg iodine); calcium (dicalcium phosphate) 20 mg; phosphorus 20 mg.
Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, silica, vegetable stearate, pharmaceutical glaze.
Directions
Use ONLY when instructed by public health authorities in a radiation emergency: adults 1 tablet; children 3–18 years ½ tablet; children 1 month–3 years ¼ tablet; newborns up to 1 month ⅛ tablet. Not for daily use.
Warnings
NOT FOR DAILY USE – very high iodine dose. Take only on official instruction from health authorities. Do not use if you are allergic or sensitive to iodine, or have dermatitis herpetiformis, hypocomplementaemic vasculitis or a thyroid disease without medical advice. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place.
Food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of reach of young children.
