Description

NOW Foods Red Yeast Rice contains certified organic red yeast rice in a plant-based capsule. Red yeast rice is rice fermented with the yeast Monascus purpureus. It has been used in Asian cooking and traditional practice since around 800 AD – it gives Peking duck its characteristic red colour. NOW's red yeast rice is produced to avoid citrinin, an unwanted by-product of fermentation.

Ingredients

Per 2 capsules: organic red yeast rice (Monascus purpureus) 1,200 mg.

Other ingredients: vegetable polysaccharide (capsule).

Directions

Adults: 2 capsules once or twice a day, preferably with food. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
