The double-strength version of NOW Foods Taurine – 1,000 mg per capsule instead of 500 mg.

Taurine is an amino acid that the body does not use to build proteins. It occurs free in most tissues, especially the heart, muscles, eyes and nervous system, where it helps stabilise cell membranes and move minerals such as potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium in and out of cells.

Ingredients

Per capsule: taurine (free-form) 1,000 mg.

Other ingredients: hypromellose (cellulose capsule), stearic acid (vegetable source), silicon dioxide.

Directions

Adults: 1 capsule once or twice a day with water or juice, preferably between meals. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
