Berberine

Per 2 capsules: berberine hydrochloride 97% (Berberis aristata) 1000 mg; AstraGin® (Astragalus membranaceus root extract and Panax notoginseng root extract) 35 mg.

Other ingredients: bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose), free-flowing agent (magnesium stearate), capsule shell (hypromellose).

Allergens: none of the 14 major allergens in the recipe. Made in a facility that also handles milk, soy, eggs, fish, celery and cereals containing gluten.

Adults: 2 capsules a day with the main meal. Do not use for long periods without medical advice. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

For adults only. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or under 18. Berberine can interact with many medicines (including blood sugar-lowering, blood pressure, anticoagulant and immunosuppressive drugs, e.g. ciclosporin) – do not use if you take any medication unless advised by a doctor. Not suitable for people with liver disease or diabetes without medical supervision. May cause digestive upset (constipation, diarrhoea, bloating); stop use if these occur. Do not give to newborns or infants. Keep out of reach of children. A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place.
