Description
NOW Foods Optimal Digestive System is a full-spectrum blend of vegetarian enzymes that helps break down proteins, carbohydrates and fats from most foods. It also contains alpha-galactosidase, the enzyme that breaks down the complex sugars in beans, lentils and cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage and broccoli. The vegetarian enzymes (BioCore®) were tested in a laboratory model of the digestive tract and remained active across its full pH range, without being broken down by stomach acid.

Ingredients
Per 2 capsules: BioCore Optimum™ 200 mg: amylase (Aspergillus oryzae) 7,000 DU; protease (A. oryzae) 42,000 HUT / 8,000 PC / 4 AP; protease (A. niger) 100 SAPU; glucoamylase (A. niger) 10 AGU; invertase (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) 800 SU; diastase (A. oryzae) 3,000 DP°; lipase (Candida rugosa, A. niger, Rhizopus oryzae) 1,000 FIP; alpha-galactosidase (A. niger, 300 GalU) 30 mg.
Other ingredients: hypromellose (cellulose capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, MCT powder, silicon dioxide.
Directions
Adults: 2 capsules with or just before each meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
